Normally, the brain tumor is not a hereditary condition. It's more of a chance.

Some brain tumors are hereditary and others are not. The exact cause of most brain tumors is unknown.

For example, neurofibromatosis with brain tumors are usually benign.

Li-Fraumeni syndrome is a genetic disorder predisposes the individuals to a range of cancers, including brain tumors.

There is currently an ongoing study that the familial predisposition to gliomas, a type of brain tumors examined, I went into our family.

I have an interest in this subject, as my niece died of a malignant brain tumor at the age of 4 Diagnosed 7 years after my son for a malignant brain tumor, a different gender, age 9 was. The grandfather of my husband died of a brain tumor in his 40th In our case, we suspected a genetic link, but you do not know what it is.

Most people over 60 years with glioblastoma brain tumors are usually not diagnosed as hereditary, so it might be the case with the grandmother of his friend.

However, all acute and / orHeadaches should be investigated. It could be a headache, or something as serious as the aneurysm.
